The DMTBC are excited to run our Scholarship program again this year after the success of last year’s program! This scholarship is proudly designed to support Denmark’s mountain biking stars of today and tomorrow by providing financial scholarships to support and empower talented young athletes as they strive to achieve their dreams.
This Scholarship is to foster both male and female local bike riders to further their sporting careers or achievements. DMTBC commits to granting $500 to each of two recipients.
DMTBC is providing the Scholarship with the purpose of providing financial assistance to riders who have demonstrated both dedication and passion in riding and shown their commitment to, and support of, the DMTBC through participation in Club events.
The Scholarship may be used to acquire equipment, to offset travel expenses incurred in attending biking events, race entry fees or to meet other appropriate costs associated with the recipient’s riding journey.
Categories
DMTBC would like to grant the scholarship as follows:
– Potential recipient: High School student
– Potential recipient: Primary student
Female entrants strongly encouraged
Note: DMTBC reserves the right to award a scholarship(s) outside the above categories, based on submissions received.
Eligibility Requirements
To be eligible to apply for the DMTBC scholarship, an applicant must:
– Be a DMTBC club member – fully licenced member
– Have participated in least one DMTBC busy bee per year
– Have attended a DMTBC event in the previous twelve months
Please note that this scholarship is open to riders of all disciplines – mountain bike, road, cross country etc.
Selection Criteria
The scholarship is awarded to the applicant/s who, in the opinion of the selection committee, best demonstrate:
– Commitment to the DMTBC community and values
– Their agreement to publicly represent and uphold the Denmark Mountain Bike Club and the Club’s values
– Promote the Denmark Mountain Bike Club, by allowing DMTBC to share some of the recipient’s MTB activities as funded by this Scholarship on the DMTBC website and social media platforms.
To Apply
All applicants are encouraged to submit their application in a form that best reflects them. DMTBC will accept submissions in writing, in digital form (video etc) or in person.
Applicants are to outline:
– How they would like to use the sponsorship grant money
– How this would be beneficial in continuing/ achieving their biking goals
– Their favourite event on the DMTBC calendar and why
– Their ultimate mountain bike adventure or experience
All entries must also include the applicants details:
– Name
– Gender Age (as at 31st December 2026)
– Category – High school or primary school
– Confirmation of eligibility
– Auscycling membership number
– Detail of Busy Bee attended
– Detail of DMTBC event attended
Validity & Closing Date
The closing dates for submissions is 31st January, 2026, at 5pm.
The successful Sponsorship recipient/s will be obligated to represent and promote the DMTBC from the time of the sponsorship award to the 31st December 2026.
In submitting their entry, all applicants are agreeing that if successful in their application, that they will meet the commitments and requirements of this Scholarship:
– Publicly represent and uphold the Denmark Mountain Bike Club and the Club’s values Promote the Denmark Mountain Bike Club, by sharing their MTB activities as funded by this Scholarship.
